Greyhounds

Playful and affectionate with an elegant appearance but with lots of energy and the need for training, especially house-training.

Small greyhounds that resemble today’s IGs are found in pictorials in Pompeii and mummified remains have been found in Egypt, dating back over 2000 years.

We are located in beautiful North Texas, with plenty of green space for our puppies to run, play, and enjoy the great outdoors. With a large climate-controlled nursery providing indoor and outdoor access for puppies and nursing mommies, the puppies are loved and played with everyday. We encourage interaction with other dogs such as with Molly, our Pit/Lab, and Scooter, our Great Pyrenees. They also interact with our rescue cats, Thelma and Louise.

I encourage new families to visit the farm and meet the puppies before choosing a new family member. Sometimes this is not possible, so videos can be sent so the new Iggy parent can see their puppy play and interact with the other puppies.

Breed FAQ

Here are a few commonly asked questions about Italian Greyhounds.
Are Italian Greyhounds Hypoallergenic?
Yes. The Italian Greyhound’s single coat is short and fine and, as a result, they shed very lightly. No dog is considered 100% hypoallergenic, but fur and dander are so manageable with IGs that they come close.

WHAT OUR PARENTS SAY...

Erin is absolutely wonderful to work with. Our experience could not have been better. Erin came highly recommended, and Dandelion Farms lives up to the recommendations! Erin is communicative, transparent and on top of things. Her puppies are so loved. She was very patient with the flight nanny and guided her through the delivery. Our little guy is healthy and happy! Overall, a truly fantastic experience 🐾 Thank you, Elite Italian Greyhounds for everything you did for our family ❤️

Elite Italian Greyhounds is amazing! We have been scammed in the past when trying to buy an iggy and it was extremely refreshing to have someone like her to walk us through everything and provide us with all the information we needed. We came a little unprepared with no dog bed or toys and she was gracious enough to send us home with some! She also sent us home with puppy food and vitamin samples. I highly recommend!

I stumbled across Elite Italian Greyhounds by accident when I was working during the pandemic in Texas. My Leonardo came home last July and we brought our second baby home this past weekend. We have been extremely happy with our iggy’s from Elite Italian Greyhounds. I love meeting all the puppies and would take them all home if I could! Elite Italian Greyhounds kept me informed and up to date throughout the process both times and made it very smooth purchase process.
